New Farmers Markets

Greensboro now has two new farmers markets!

Roosters Farmers Market
Center City Farmers Market

Roosters Farmers Market
Where:  Roosters Gourmet Market and Gifts
2415 Lawndale Dr., Shops at Kirkwood
When:  Every Wednesday at 7:00am-12:00pm
May-October

Roosters owner Mary James Lawrence and Project Green Leaf have worked together with interested farmers to organize this great new market. The market began in May 2002 and was a great success, providing farmers a valuable direct marketing outlet and consumers with fresh, locally grown produce. Farmers offered top quality products and consumers enjoyed buying directly from our local farmers and strengthening the connection to the source of their food. The market will open again May 5, 2004. See you there!

Center City Farmers Market
Where: Corner of Friendly. and N. Elm in Downtown Greensboro
  When: Every Thursday from 9:00am-1:00pm
 May-October

Greensboro's newest farmers market is off to a great start this year. Located in downtown Greensboro, this mid-day market is serving as a place for downtown workers, residents, and people from all over Greensboro to get local, fresh farm products as well as prepared food from local vendors. This market is a great addition to all the exciting new developments in downtown Greensboro. For more information about this market, contact Melissa Bocci, market manager, at 336-379-0060.
